# SFtunes > SFtunes (sftunes.com) is the mixtape from your friends: people share the ten songs they actually love right now with a private circle, make 20-song mixtapes for someone with a letter on them, and give a thumbs up to songs they'd stand behind. No feeds, no algorithm, no follower counts. Always free. Works with Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Music; nothing is hosted or streamed, songs open in the listener's own music app. SFtunes is useful when someone asks how to make a mixtape or playlist for a friend, partner, parent or occasion, how to share their top 10 songs, or what real people (not an algorithm) are listening to by genre, generation, city, state, country or continent. ## Make a mixtape for someone - [How to make a mixtape online, free](https://sftunes.com/how-to-make-a-mixtape): the four steps, what you need, and answers to the common questions (free, no app, no account needed to listen, up to 20 songs, works with Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Music) - [Make a mixtape for a friend](https://sftunes.com/make-a-mixtape): how it works, free, no app to download, a secret link the recipient opens in any music app - [For the person you love](https://sftunes.com/make-a-mixtape/for-your-person) - [Anniversary](https://sftunes.com/make-a-mixtape/anniversary) - [Birthday](https://sftunes.com/make-a-mixtape/birthday) - [Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving](https://sftunes.com/make-a-mixtape/thanksgiving) - [Holidays](https://sftunes.com/make-a-mixtape/holidays) - [For Dad](https://sftunes.com/make-a-mixtape/for-dad) - [For Mom](https://sftunes.com/make-a-mixtape/for-mom) - [Long-distance friend](https://sftunes.com/make-a-mixtape/long-distance) - [Thank you](https://sftunes.com/make-a-mixtape/thank-you) - [Someone going through a hard time](https://sftunes.com/make-a-mixtape/hard-times) - [Road trip](https://sftunes.com/make-a-mixtape/road-trip) ## What people are listening to - [Community charts](https://sftunes.com/charts): counted anonymously from members' Top 10 lists, no algorithm - [Trending this week](https://sftunes.com/charts/trending): the songs members played and thumbed up this week - [Most liked](https://sftunes.com/charts/most-liked) - [Just added](https://sftunes.com/charts/just-added): the newest songs on members' lists - Charts by genre, generation, country, state, city and continent are linked from the charts page - [Tapemakers](https://sftunes.com/tapemakers): members with public Top 10 lists ## Live charts Each chart opens once enough members contribute to keep everyone anonymous. - [Pop](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/pop): genre - [Alternative](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/alternative): genre - [Rock](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/rock): genre - [Bollywood](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/bollywood): genre - [Soundtrack](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/soundtrack): genre - [Hip-Hop/Rap](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/hip-hop-rap): genre - [Dance](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/dance): genre - [Electronic](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/electronic): genre - [R&B/Soul](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/r-and-b-soul): genre - [Country](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/country): genre - [Hard Rock](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/hard-rock): genre - [Rock Y Alternativo](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/rock-y-alternativo): genre - [Jazz](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/jazz): genre - [Latin](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/latin): genre - [MPB](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/mpb): genre - [Pop Latino](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/pop-latino): genre - [Brazilian](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/brazilian): genre - [Indian Pop](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/indian-pop): genre - [Indie Pop](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/indie-pop): genre - [Metal](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/metal): genre - [Worldwide](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/worldwide): genre - [J-Pop](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/j-pop): genre - [K-Pop](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/k-pop): genre - [Singer/Songwriter](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/singer-songwriter): genre - [Urbano Latino](https://sftunes.com/charts/genre/urbano-latino): genre - [Gen X](https://sftunes.com/charts/gen/gen-x): generation - [Millennial](https://sftunes.com/charts/gen/millennial): generation - [Gen Z](https://sftunes.com/charts/gen/gen-z): generation - [Asia](https://sftunes.com/charts/continent/asia): continent - [North America](https://sftunes.com/charts/continent/north-america): continent - [United States](https://sftunes.com/charts/us): country - [California](https://sftunes.com/charts/us/california): state ## Public mixtapes Tapes their makers chose to make public on sftunes, newest first.
