Terms, in plain English
Your tapes are yours. When a tape earns money, most of it is yours too.
Your tapes stay your creative work. By making a tape on SFtunes you give us a non-exclusive commercial license to display it here and to license its metadata, song titles, track order, your liner notes, to third parties, including AI agents that pay to read it through our API. Non-exclusive means it's still yours: share it, remake it, or take it anywhere else, anytime.
The split is 80/20, in your favor. When revenue can be traced to your tape, 80% of the net goes to you and 20% keeps SFtunes running. We can change those rates going forward with 30 days notice, never retroactively.
Earnings are credits, not a bank account. Your share accrues as SFtunes credits, not a cash balance. Once a year, if you're above $10, you can redeem them: a gift card, a donation to SFtunes or a charity, USDC to a wallet address you give us, or cash via PayPal. Credits roll over and earn no interest. Honestly, the amounts will probably be small. This is mixtape money, not a paycheck, and nothing here is financial advice.
Some links help keep the lights on. A few outbound links may earn SFtunes an affiliate commission. It never costs you anything, it never changes where the link goes, and those links are always marked.
The ground rules.Be a decent human: no spam, no scraping other people's tapes, no using SFtunes to harass anyone or break the law. We can close accounts that do. You can leave anytime, delete your account in Settings and your data goes with you. If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll give you 30 days notice before it takes effect.
Wondering about your data? Privacy, in plain English has you covered.
